Out of 140 entries, my art work entitled "Before the Bleach" won third place at the Charlotte Art League's 2017 Fall Show!
Katie St. Clair M.F.A., the juror for the event, wrote the following:
"I believe the strength in this tondo composition is due to your sensitivity of color and use of negative space. The technique has an effortless quality that draws the eye from the negative white spaces in to the lace quality of paint. Visually the piece holds up at great distance, morphing from intricate details to a twisting mound of scales."
I was the featured artist for three full months at the Cleveland County government building.
